This article will walk you through creating Estimates and Jobs instantly with the Estimate Builder. The key to making this quick and convenient is having your Estimate Builder and Service templates set up. How to access the Estimate and Jobs feature
- Expand the navigation pane.
- Scroll down and tap on the Estimates & Jobs button.
How to build Estimates using the Estimate Builder
Building estimates with the Estimate Builder is quick and easy. The Estimate Builder comes with pre-configured templates to assist you in generating consistent estimates. If you would like to add or customize your templates in the Estimate Builder, check out the "How to create an Estimate template" article. To create an estimate with the Estimate Builder, follow the steps below:
- Expand the Navigation Pane.
- Scroll down and tap on the Estimates & Jobs button.
- On the Estimates and Jobs page, click on +NEW button and select Estimate with Estimate Builder.
- Select from your templates and click NEXT.
- On the Create Estimate page, enter the estimate info i.e. status and contact. The remaining fields will prepopulate to match your contact.
- Review/update details and click Let’s Build Estimate.
- Select Work Areas for the estimate and click NEXT.
- Follow the prompts to add Services (tasks) to your work areas.
- Click the pencil icon to edit Service details and click NEXT to continue.
- Hit SAVE.
Once you have completed the question prompts, you will be brought to the Services Tab of the Estimate Details screen.
On this page you will be able to:
(1) Preview your proposal
(2) Approve your estimate as a job. This will allow you to schedule the work to be completed
(3) Send your estimate to your client for approval
(4) Add the number of payments you would like to have the cost of the job split into
(5) Add any additional services to the estimate.
Once you are happy with the estimate, you can tap on the back arrow to return to the Estimates and Jobs screen.
